As
a native Texan, I graduated from Bowie High School in 1978.
I started my real estate career in 1995 after my children were in
school and am a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Cross Country.
I have been selling residential real estate in Highland Village
for nearly ten years. My husband of close to
30 years, Terry Wilcox was born and raised in Lewisville.
He currently works for the Lewisville Fire Department as the
Senior Officer with 35 years of service. Terry and I also own and
operate Wilcox Pest Control. We
moved to Highland Village with our two children, Tiffany and Travis, fourteen
years ago and continue to live at 641 Greensprings.
I am blessed with two beautiful granddaughters who live in this area and
a wonderful son-in-law who is also a Lewisville graduate. My parents raised me to believe in God, family and civic involvement. My dad served on boards and commissions, was an active member of the Rotary Club and was once named Man of the Year by the Bowie Chamber of Commerce. My mother supported his community involvement from behind the scenes. They moved to Highland Village in 2004 and are active members of the Highland Village Senior All-Stars. I
give you all this background because you should know about the candidates you
choose to represent you and your city in an elected capacity.
I am the person I am because of my parents and the man that I married.
Following their examples of service and dedication and after raising my
children it is time for me to be responsible for my civic duty.
As taught by my Dad, I promise to apply the rules of Rotarian Herbert
Taylor’s Four Way Test: “is it
truthful, is it fair to all concerned, does it promote goodwill and better
friendships and is it beneficial to all concerned” in my decision making. Today I am
serving my second term on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
I am also a member of the Greater Lewisville Board of Realtors, First
Baptist Church of Lewisville and the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. Honesty,
Integrity, Consistency and Dedication are what I can offer you on the City
Council. I believe in these values;
I was raised on them and I practice them every day.
I know this community and have solid roots here.
I chose to seek election to Place 3 because of my passion for Highland
Village and to represent ALL residents of this community. I assure you that I
will listen to and carefully consider the concerns of each and every citizen of
our city. My
vision is for Highland Village to be a City where people choose to live, raise
their families, work, play and eventually retire and where their children’s
children will want to do the same. With
your support we can move the City of Highland Village forward in a powerful and
positive way. Thank
you for your time and consideration, Charlotte

Many Highland Village residents express concern about the expansion of roads and businesses to the point that we lose the very essence of what makes Highland Village special. For this reason, it is important to elect city officials that know the history of our city and have lived here to see the growth from the beginning. I became a resident of Highland Village in 2003. I remember when 407 & Long Prairie Road was nothing more than farm land and swinging lights. That is one of the reasons I moved here. Highland Village is removed from the hustle and bustle of big city life. I pledge that I will fight to keep Highland Village as it has always been, while allowing for the appropriate growth to ensure our financial security. With financial security, we can continue to grow and build our community with projects that are important to us. These projects include: Police and Fire equipment and staff improvements, education programs, school improvements and provisions, sporting fields, parks, walking and biking trails, road systems, senior citizen programs, animal shelters and adoption programs, and special services groups such as The Highland Village Rotary, of which I am a proud founding member. I believe in our community. I believe in our future. I am Bill Towe, running for City Council of Highland Village, Seat 7. 214-808-9110
