| Letters for the Candidates 2009
For Charlotte Wilcox:
****************************************************************************************
I have known Charlotte Wilcox for
about four years. She was a valuable resource for me when I was on
the Highland Village City Council with regards to things that were important
to the folks on the east side of Highland Village. Charlotte is the
only candidate running this year, that is familiar with the issues
of citizens from the whole city and if she is not elected, there will be
a void in representation of the citizens on the east side of Highland Village. As
part of her campaigning for Place 3 she is also reaching out to the west side
of Highland Village such that she can be a voice for them also. Other
than Scott McDearmott, there is very little representation on our City Council
for west side views on development and the future of Highland
Village. Charlotte will be the glue that melds the views of both sides
into a comprehensive approach to government that serves our entire city.
Charlotte is an honest, straight
talking, no nonsense gracious person that will be an individual on the Council
that represents us without politics associated with who knows who interfering
with her decisions. I strongly recommend that you vote for her on May 9. A
vote for Charlotte will move our City ahead in its view of our future as
a result of her insight and experience. Vote for Wilcox for Place 3 on
the Highland Village City Council and you will have voted to preserve the
future our environment as a safe and a friendly place to live and work.

******************************************************************************************* I am writing to express my support for Charlotte Wilcox in the Highland Village city council election. Simply put, Charlotte has distinguished herself as being fiscally conservative, well informed, and far from a career politician. She has excluded herself from political elitism by clearly displaying an interest in the direction the people of the city desire. I envision her service to our community would be realistic, with an awareness for issues that affect the whole of Highland Village. Hopefully, it will be possible to see a reduction of the intrusion into the lives of our citizens at the council level without ever venturing into procedural flights of fancy. It is, after all, the tax paying citizen the council exists to serve. Charlotte has integrity, grit and my trust. I back that up with a history of having done shy of a half million dollars of business with her. She has surrounded herself with honest, real people and speaks the language of the common man with no double talk. These traits are more evident than those I find in the opponent for place 3. For these reasons, Charlotte Wilcox has my vote and the support of my family. Regards, Lonnie Webb *************************************************************************************** For Bill Towe: Bill
Towe is Mr. Highland Village. I don’t know anyone else who can say
that their home and their office (building) in our little town! He’s not
only invested his physical assets here, he has always been very generous in
supporting local sports, charity and school projects. If
you’ve met Bill, you like him. As a good listener, he’s easy to talk,
has a friendly disposition and is “sharp as a whip”. When I heard him
at the candidate’s forum, it was clear to me that he had no other agenda than
to use his skills to continue to make Highland Village the best place to live.
That’s the kind of guy I’d be proud to have represent me and my town. ********************************************************************************************************** I would like to strongly recommend
Bill Towe for Highland Village City council. Bill is the most
concerned person I’ve met in regards to what’s going on in the community and
is it in the community’s best interest. He is very engaging with
everyone and as a consequence people feel like they’ve known him all their
lives. This is just the kind of person we need on the council to listen to
us and reflect the desires of the community so we are best served. Rick Essex 830 Kingwood Ct. HV, TX. 75077 ***************************************************************************************** Bill Towe has always
supported my daughter, Delaney Rainford, with her Type 1 Diabetes fund raising
efforts. He has the spirit to make Highland Village a city we can continue
to be proud of. Kim Shultz-Rainford 2740 Quail Ridge Ct. HV., TX. 75077
